Dementia Inclusive Film - Original Snow White (1916)-Edmonds

  • Edmonds Center for the Arts 410 Fourth Avenue North Edmonds (map)

Before Walt Disney made his breakthrough with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, he saw a 1916 silent film of Snow White that inspired him to attempt the full-length 1937 movie that became his studio’s first blockbuster.  This original version of Snow White (1916) will feature live musical accompaniment by local harpist Leslie McMichael, joined on the Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) stage by guest violist Barbara McMichael.

Although this program is designed with accessibility for patrons with memory loss as a priority, this event is open and welcome to an all ages audience.  In particular the series presents an opportunity for younger family members, grandchildren and friends to spend time with elders in an intergenerational setting and to connect over classic films.

Cost:  $10/@$2 Arts for Everyone
