Friendly Folk Dance – A Dementia-Inclusive Workshop -  Edmonds

Silver Kite Community Art invites participants to “travel the world” by learning a variety of folk dances from France, Greece, Russia, West Polynesia (Rarotonga/Cook Islands), Mexico, Japan, Turkey and Aztec cultures.  Seated dance options available.

Cost: $5 Regular/$2 Arts for Everyone (All 4 classes for $15)

This Dementia-Inclusive workshop is part of Edmonds Center for the Arts line-up of arts engagement programs designed with accessibility for people with memory loss as a priority. Launched in 2015, the series developed collaboratively with the feedback and support of senior services organizations, memory care professionals, and arts groups in Puget Sound region. Our mission is to create opportunities for people with memory loss and their care partners to connect and experience joy through the arts! Partners for the Friendly Folk Dance series includes Edmonds Senior Center, Silver Kite and the Taproot Theatre.
