From February 29 – May 25, the Art of Alzheimer’s “The Artist Within” exhibit will be showcased at Harborview Medical Center’s cafeteria, available 24 hours a day. Surprising, delightful and inspiring, the 51 pieces of art showcase the vitality, unique perspectives and creative potential of those living with dementia.
Join us for an Opening Reception, from 4 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 10. The reception takes place in the Research & Training Building, 300 Ninth Ave, in the main lobby and auditorium. Together we will enjoy light refreshments, art viewing, and a brief speaking program beginning at 4:45 p.m., to include:
• Harborview Medical Center director Paul Hayes
• Memory & Brain Wellness Center director and neurologist Dr. Tom Grabowski
• Northwest Center for Creative Aging director Rebecca Crichton
• Daughter of one of the artists, Memory & Brain Wellness Center science writer Genevieve Wanucha
Parking is available in the Ninth & Jefferson lot (908 Jefferson St) for $5/2 hours.
