Re-Ignite the Mind with Improv & Play - Edmonds

  • Edmonds Center for the Arts 410 4th Avenue North Edmonds (map)

This 4 session workshop uses improvisation and theatre games to tap into the creative abilities of individuals experiencing early stage memory loss (ESML) and their care partners. Improv participants engage fully in the present, making improvisation a perfect theatre class for those living with memory loss.  No memory requirement, just the delight of participating in an experience that releases the imagination while giving a sense of accomplishment, self-confidence and social enrichment.

The class, taught by theatre professionals from Taproot Theatre, promises 90 minutes of success for participants, social interaction and living in the moment. This is one of several creative and social enrichment programs being piloted in the Dementia-Inclusive Series at The Edmonds Center for the Arts.

When: The workshop includes 4 sessions to be held on October 20, 27, and November 3 and 10.  Join all 4 or sign up for individual sessions.

Cost:  $10 per class with free admission for one care partner.
