Urban Farming Volunteer Program

  • Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands 5513 S. Cloverdale Seattle (map)

Do you enjoy being outside, gardening, and giving back to community? Join others living with memory loss, and friends and family, for a dementia-friendly ‘urban farming’ volunteer program every third Friday of the month. We will support Seattle Tilth in growing food for community programs. Volunteer tasks include working in the garden (planting, weeding, preparing beds) or helping prepare lunch for the group. Tools provided. Dress for the weather.

Space is limited. RSVP by Wednesday, May 14. If 1-on-1 support is needed, please come with a friend or care partner, or ask about support volunteers when you RSVP.

Schedule: Arrive between 9:30 – 10 a.m.; volunteer 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; free lunch with fresh produce from 12 – 12:30 p.m.
